Veneers Made With Our In-House Ceramists

Porcelain veneers are the treatment most patients ask us about. Cosmetique Dental has two in-house ceramic laboratories, so the dentist planning your veneers can talk directly with the ceramist making them. Shape, shade, surface texture and fit are discussed and adjusted with the people doing the work.

Composite veneers are a lower-cost alternative, shaped directly on the tooth with tooth-coloured resin. They usually need more upkeep than porcelain. Read our porcelain vs composite comparison or the veneer cost guide.

Choosing the Right Order of Treatment

Many smile changes work best in stages. For example:

  • Straighten first, then veneers. Moving teeth with Invisalign first can mean less tooth preparation for veneers, or no veneers at all. See Invisalign before veneers.
  • Whiten first, then veneers or bonding. Veneers and composite are matched to the shade of your surrounding teeth, so whitening is usually done first. See teeth whitening before veneers.
  • Treat decay and gum disease first. Cosmetic work needs a healthy base. Your dentist will check this at your consultation.

What Happens at Your Complimentary Cosmetic Consultation

  1. You tell us what you would like to change and why.
  2. Your dentist examines your teeth, gums and bite, with scans, photographs and X-rays where clinically necessary.
  3. Where appropriate, digital smile planning is used to discuss a proposed design.
  4. You receive the recommended options, alternatives, risks and a written quote.
  5. You take time to decide. A consultation does not commit you to treatment.

The complimentary consultation is for new and existing patients considering porcelain or composite veneers, dental implants, All-on-X or Invisalign/clear aligners. Read your first cosmetic consultation.

Paying for Cosmetic Dentistry

Interest-free payment plans are available through humm, TLC, Zip and Access My Super, subject to approval and each provider’s fees and terms. Cosmetic treatment may have limited or no health fund cover; we offer HICAPS claiming for eligible items. See payment plans.

Cosmetic Dentistry FAQs

A cosmetic dentist focuses on the appearance of your teeth, as well as their health. Treatments include veneers, whitening, bonding, clear aligners, crowns and implants. Your dentist will recommend options based on your teeth, gums and bite.

It depends on the treatment and how many teeth are involved. At our practice, porcelain veneers are around $1,400–$1,500 per tooth, take-home whitening is $449 and in-chair whitening is $549. You receive a written quote after an examination.

Yes. New and existing patients considering veneers, implants, All-on-X or Invisalign can book a complimentary cosmetic consultation, including scans, photographs and X-rays where clinically necessary.

Whitening only changes the colour of natural teeth. Veneers can change colour, shape and small gaps, but they involve preparing the tooth and need ongoing care. If colour is your only concern, whitening may be enough.

Often, yes. Invisalign or braces move the teeth themselves, while veneers only cover the front surface. Some patients straighten first and then decide whether they still want veneers.
